What camera gear do I need?
You'll need a camera capable of manual mode, a sturdy tripod, a cable release or intervalometer, and preferably a wide-angle lens (14-35mm). We'll provide a detailed gear list upon booking.
What's the fitness level required?
Moderate fitness. We'll be walking on relatively flat terrain in Cades Cove with some uneven ground in low-light conditions. Total walking distance is approximately 1-2 miles throughout the day.
What if weather doesn't cooperate?
The fireflies display rain or shine. We'll provide guidance on protecting your gear and techniques for shooting in various weather conditions. If conditions are truly dangerous, we'll work with you to reschedule.
Is this suitable for beginners?
